Traditional hair removal techniques, such as shaving, plucking,
waxing and depilatory creams provide only temporary relief. Until
now, the only recognized way to remove hair permanently has been
by electrolysis - which can be tedious, time-consuming and uncomfortable.
The GentleLase System
safely removes unwanted body hair without damaging the delicate
pores and structures of the skin. It is a safe, fast, effective
and affordable treatment for both men and women.

The most common areas for women are the upper lip, chin, eyebrows
and bikini line. Men like to do hair removal at the back and shoulders,
front of the neck (common place for ingrown hairs) as well as the
glabella (space between the eyebrows).
The
GentleLASE Laser can remove hair just about anywhere on the body:
Lower Leg, Full Legs (w/Bikini Line), Thighs, Buttocks, Genitals,
Back, Shoulders, Abdomen, Lower Back, Half Arms, Underarms, Hands,
Feet, Breast (Areola), Chest, Neck, Beard (w/Throat), Chin, Cheeks,
Nostrils, Ears, Eyebrows, Forehead, Hairline, Head.

The number of treatments required depends upon your skin color and
coarseness of the hair. Hair grows in cycles, therefore most patients
require about 6 treatments for complete clearance of hair. The laser
only disables the hair in the active stage of growth at the time
of treatment. The hairs that return are those that were not in the
active stage of growth at the time of treatment. They appear lighter
in color and finer in texture. We do see good results after just
one treatment, but additional treatments are needed to have complete
clearance of hair. The size of the area and density of the hair
determines the length of each treatment. For smaller areas such
as the upper lip, side burns, chin or throat; treatment can be completed
within a few minutes. Bikini areas usually under 10 minutes and
larger areas such as the back, chest or full legs can take from
30 minutes to an hour or more, depending on how much hair you have.
For best results your first 4 treatments are to be done at 4 to
8 week intervals.
The
combination of light skin and dark hair is ideal for LHR. Fewer
treatments are required, and better, faster results are obtained.
Although one laser session can produce long-term hair reduction,
as a rule, multiple treatment sessions are necessary to obtain optimal
results.
Patients
with darker skin will require more sessions of laser hair removal.
Because the wavelengths commonly used for laser hair removal are
also absorbed by pigment in the skin, the laser must be operated
with less energy in order to protect the pigmented upper layer of
skin. This results in a safer treatment for darker skin, but may
require more sessions.
